vango jones is a multi-hyphenate creative based in brooklyn, new york. he was born in st. louis, missouri and attended howard university in washington, d.c., where he obtained a bachelor of arts in film production in 2014.
as an indie filmmaker with limited resources, vango had to wear many hats to see his productions to fruition. through this experience, he developed a strong passion for art department work and soon began handling art department duties for many of his filmmaking friends’ productions. since then, he has amassed an impressive amount of production design and prop styling credits for short films, music videos, fashion editorials, commercials, etc.
with each opportunity, vango seeks to marry the core elements of the project with his strong attention to detail and his keen artistic eye, which has been shaped by years of media intake and art study. in addition to his set decoration and props work, vango is well-versed in filmmaking, writing, and music creation.
